Big Hue is a Los Angeles-based creative production studio specializing in premium food, beverage, and product content, led by principal photographer Vinnie Finn and co-founder and producer Laura Finn. They came to Hello Comrade for a full rebrand: one that could hold their commercial credibility and their personality in the same frame.

The challenge was specificity. Big Hue's work is technically accomplished and craft-driven, but the studio itself is warm, collaborative, and fun to be around. Not polished-and-distant, not casual-and-scrappy. A studio that obsesses over the hero shot and still makes the shoot feel like a good hang. Our scope spanned brand identity, logo design, typography, color, and a full guidelines system. A custom hand-drawn wordmark. A plump, juicy type suite with letterforms so condensed they almost melt into each other. Zesty illustrations and a palette anchored in deep aubergine and cheddar yellow: rich, bold, and food-adjacent without tipping into cliché.
